A real story based on professional deadbeat!

This is a true story about a Fat Man, who has the name of Joe, that really had no life and expected everyone to do everything for him.  This Fat Man always complained about the way work was done at his "new" house and found fault with everything and played the "poor me, the Fat Man", routine.  This Fat Man hired a firm to hook up propane, LP, to his house.  This firm agreed to do the job, even though this firm did not go out to his area.  This firm went out of their way to do this job for this Fat Man, even though they had many other jobs waiting for them who respected their work and paid their bills.  This firm felt that this Fat Man was a responsible person.  Also, feeling this Fat Man was a person who had some tragic events, felt they would do the job to see that it was done right.  This firm has been in business for over 50 years and never had a problem with anyone in this time period, also this firm, from our understanding, stands behind their work.  The Fat Man had issues with the way the firm did the work to his house.  These issues were claimed by a mysterious firm who at first, the Fat Man would not give their name, claimed that the LP firm did a couple things in a matter that they felt should be corrected.  There is no way that this LP firm would not correct any issues claimed by anyone, from our understanding.  This LP firm suggested to the Fat Man to please give contact information to this "other firm", to discuss any and all issues so they could be corrected and arrangements with the Fat Man at his location would be corrected.  Standing behind their work, this firm tried to arrange this with the Fat Man, but Joe always had an "excuse" of why he could not be there at his house with this firm to excercise the Fat Mans concerns.  With Winter approaching, this Fat Man and this firm had a discussion to get this concern done according to "his" liking.   Keep in mind, that the firm asked the Fat Man who was the "other firm" was who claimed to have done the work wrong, so the LP firm can get the information to correct the problems.  The Fat Man would not provide this information.  At this point, nothing was done due to the Fat Man not being available and no information of the other firm provided.  An important fact that is understood is the LP firm got a permit for this town in the state that they did the work.  From our understanding, all jobs need to get permits to do any and all work anywhere that they might be working.  The firm did get all the permits for the "job", from our understanding, had conversations with the inspector and that inspector did go to Joes property, inspect and pass the work done by the LP firm with no issues, even though the Fat Man claimed the job was done wrong.  The Fat Man not only claimed that this "other firm"  found problems, but also complained about the bill, even though this Fat Man wanted to pay right on the job.  In good faith, the LP firm mailed the bill to this Fat Man from our understanding and no payment was received. 

The Fat Man was contacted by this firm in serveral ways.  The first response from our understanding from the Fat Man was that Joe complained about the price of the job, the bill was hard to read, too much time and the Fat Man, who would be assumed, an expert, stated how much the job should have been and stated pretty much everything was wrong.  Everything was wrong?  Keep in mind, from our understanding, this firm was in business for over 50 years, make any sense?  The Fat Man from our understanding stated that a payment was mailed, even though it never arrived to the firm and stated that another payment would be given to a third party without the firms acknowledgement.  The third party, that this payment was given to, was not happy with this move by the Fat Man and from our understanding, contacted the firm in an emergency situation to get this payment to them as this third party did not want to take responsibility for this.

As the weeks passed, the LP firm and the Fat Man never connected, nor did the Fat Man pay his bill.  The LP firm questioned this non payment situation.  As the LP firm tried to get paid, the Fat Man came up with plenty of reasons why he, the Fat Man should not be paying.  Reasons such as the installation of the black pipe, which rusted, the hole in the Fat Mans house was drilled in the wrong spot and the original bill was heard to read and too much.  Speaking of this hole, from what is understood, the hole was drilled by mistake.  There was a general contractor on the scene.  The LP firm asked the General Contractor to fix it, the General Contractor stated no problem.  Within 10 minutes, the problem was fixed.  The LP firm asked how much was owed and the General Contractor laughed and said "nothing, do not worry about it".  However, Joe brings this issue up as a reason not to pay.  Another fact is, black pipe rusts, it is pretty stupid, if you will, to complain about an item that rusts as part of its nature.

The bottom line is, that Joe, the Fat Man wanted a job done for nothing.  Joes is the type of person who plays the "poor me" to get his way and expects the whole world to do everything for him.  He hides behind how great he and what he does for the community by his volunteer work, which from what is understood, would not matter if he was not even around.

There is more to the story, just listen to Joe if you ever get a chance.  That is if you can understand him, considering every other word out of his mouth is ahhh, ahhh, ahhh.
